 A) A student who is currently enrolled as a high school senior or in an accredited college or university located within the United States;
B) A parent who currently has a child enrolled in an accredited college or university located within the United States;
C) A parent who currently has a child enrolled as a high school senior located within the United States;
D) A student or a parent whose child has graduated from an accredited undergraduate school and who is currently paying back a student or parent loan for his/her/child's educational expenses for such School
"No Essay" Smart Owl Scholarship
To be eligible for the No Essay Smart Owl Scholarship:
A) You must be a resident of any of the 50 United States, District of Columbia or US Territories
B) You must be 16 years of age or older
C) You must either be enrolled in a college/university or registered in a qualified high school
D) You must be located within the United States
Note that this is a monthly scholarship and applications will close at the end of each month.
  • Must be a high school senior with at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA, plan to pursue studies in the STEM fields at a four-year accredited college or university and show financial need.
  • Eligible STEM majors include computer and information systems, engineering, engineering technology, management information systems, mathematics, natural resources and conservation and physical sciences.
  • Applicants must live in Southern California Edison’s service territory.
  • The top 50 finalists will be required to submit a short video and potentially participate in a final interview.
  • Dependents of Edison International and SCE employees and retirees are not eligible.
Hispanic Education Endowment Fund (HEEF) Scholarship- Must be a Latinx/who has lived in Orange County for the past three years.  OC graduate who plans to enroll full-time at a four-year college or university.  First-generation college student.  Financial need (must complete FAFSA or California Dream Act application and submit your Student Aid Report (SAR) or CalSAR.
Alert1 Scholarship for Seniors.  $250 scholarship to university students and college-bound senior high school students interested in the senior care industry.
For the Alert1 $250 Student for Seniors Scholarship, students must answer three short essay questions and submit them by the deadline.  
PhentermineClinics Health Scholarship is Open to senior students in high school. The content you submit in the application must be unique and must offer value to the reader. Creative, high-quality submissions have a higher chance of winning.  
Gen and Kelly Tanabe Scholarship - Merit-based program that helps students fulfill their dreams of higher education. The scholarship is named after Gen and Kelly Tanabe, best-selling authors on education. 
Doodle 4 Google Scholarship - This year, Google is asking kids to create a doodle that tells the world “What makes me…me.” Kids have all kinds of things that make them unique, so they can use all kinds of materials to create their doodles, from crayons to clay, to yarn, to graphic design. 
SuperMoney Financial Literacy Scholarship  SuperMoney's mission is to help everyone reach his or her financial goals. SuperMoney's Financial Literacy Scholarship seeks to celebrate students who share our same mission. Our scholarship program awards $2,500 a year to a student who wants to help Americans improve their financial wellness through continued education. 
The Capistrano Valley Republican Women Federated (CVRWF) is awarding two $500 scholarships to high school juniors and seniors in the Capistrano Valley area. Must be a United States citizen, registered Republican voter (intend to register if not 18), available for an interview with CVRWF Scholarship Committee and have a minimum GPA: 3.2​. Required: Completed application, transcript, 500-700 word essay (detailed in application form) & letter of recommendation. Information & Application 
CSEA Dependent Scholarship Are your dependents going to college or planning to enroll in college? The CSEA Dependent Scholarship Program awards $1,000 scholarships each year to graduating high school seniors as well as those currently enrolled in community colleges, college/universities, or trade/vocational schools. GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship - honoring the legacy and character of our nation's 40th president, the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program rewards college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship with financial assistance to pursue higher education
Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Scholarship - Navy ROTC Program  educates and trains qualified young men and women for service as commissioned officers in the Navy's unrestricted line, the Navy Nurse Corps and the Marine Corps. As the largest single source of Navy and Marine Corps officers, the Navy ROTC Scholarship Program plays an important role in preparing mature young men and women for leadership and management positions in an increasingly technical Navy and Marine Corps.
US Air Force ROTC - Air Force ROTC offers a variety of scholarships that will help relieve the financial burden of a college education. Air Force ROTC Scholarships cover your tuition and most lab fees, plus an annual textbook allowance and up to $500 in spending cash monthly stipend.
Alert 1 Scholarship - For seniors who plan to pursue a degree working with senior citizens.
Elks Legacy Awardsare $4,000 scholarships for children and grandchildren of Elks members. 
California State PTA is excited to offer scholarships for graduating high school seniors. This scholarship recognizes graduating seniors who are PTA members for volunteer service in their schools and communities. This scholarship can be applied towards courses at accredited colleges, universities, trade or technical schools. Additionally, graduating seniors who intend to pursue a career in the medical field are also eligible to receive one of two Dr. Ralph E. White Graduating Senior Scholarships available this year.

Mission Viejo Activities Committee Scholarship - The Mission Viejo Activities Committee is pleased to announce they will award $3,000 in scholarships. Eligibility requirements include being a high school senior, a U.S. citizen, and have 25 hours of community service in Mission Viejo. The scholarships are based on volunteerism in the community, academic achievements, leadership skills, school participation, and the ability to succeed. Due Match 15th.
Harris Personal Injury Lawyers Inc., serving and representing accident victims in 13 locations across California offers a biannual, $1,000 scholarship to students who have demonstrated a determination to pursue their education despite suffering a difficult injury.  
2022 CSUF Black Student Scholarship Program Together, the Orange County
Community Foundation and CSUF have established a dedicated scholarship
program to promote the college aspirations
of Black students in our community. 
The Silvia Mazzeo Pule Scholarship Award is available to two San Juan Elementary School alumni who have spent a minimum of three years at San Juan Elementary School and who have continuously remained in the Two-Way Immersion Program through twelfth grade, are graduating seniors, and are currently enrolled in one of the four Capistrano Unified School District high schools who offer the Two-Way Immersion Program - San Juan Hills High School, San Clemente High School, Dana Hills High School or Capistrano Valley High School.
Cox Cares Foundation Scholarship - Graduating High School Seniors can earn up to $5,000 to pursue their dreams of a college education.
Beverage Industry College Scholarship Program - Students qualify through their parent's or grandparent's employment with a company holding a valid California beverage alcohol license including restaurants, retail and wholesale grocery establishments, convenience stores, drug stores, airlines, wineries, breweries, etc. 
Discover Student Loans Scholarship$50,000 in scholarships to high school and college students. Students are automatically entered to win a $2,500 scholarship when they sign up to receive helpful tips on planning and paying for college at College Covered. Five winners will be randomly drawn. No purchase or student loan is necessary for students to enter or win. 
Asian Pacific Fund Administers 12 scholarship programs, each with unique eligibility criteria.  Scholarship amounts range from $1,000.00 to $20,000.00 and many are renewable.  Open to incoming or current college students of various ethnic backgrounds.  Must plan to be enrolled full-time in the Fall.  Minimum 3.0 GPA and be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
AFA Teens for Alzheimer's Awareness College Scholarship - Three scholarships to award to the winning top essays that answer the following: how has Alzheimer's changed or impacted your life and what have you learned about yourself, your family, and the community in the face of coping with Alzheimer's? 
The Vegetarian Resource Group - The Vegetarian Resource Group will award $10,000 in college scholarship money to graduating U.S. high school students who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities. 
CUEA - Scholarship applications for graduating high school seniors of CUEA members are now available from the CUEA office. The parent or guardian of the applicant must be a teacher, speech pathologist, nurse, psychologist, or counselor employed in CUSD and a current member of CUEA. The student must be a graduating senior with an overall GPA of 3.2 or better and the student must be planning to attend college. Please check the CUEA website or CUSD District Office.
CUCPTSA Scholarships - Capistrano Unified Council of PTSAs is pleased to announce that they will be providing Scholarships this year. 
CVHS Foundation Senior ScholarshipsThe Capistrano Valley High School Foundation will be awarding up to five scholarships of $500 each to Seniors who have made a positive impact while at CVHS.  The deadline to apply is 12pm Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022. Scholarship recipients will be selected by a committee of community representatives. The scholarship awards will be presented at the Capistrano Valley High School Senior Awards Ceremony in May.  Click Here to apply.  Questions can be emailed to the CVHS foundation at:
CVHS PTSA senior scholarship applications are now open and available to seniors.

  • Awarding $7,000 in scholarships.
  • Exact number of scholarships awarded varies, but amounts range from $250-$1,000.
  • Based on activities/involvement (including work), personal statement, and teacher recommendation.
  • NO grades or test scores - the scholarship committee will only see a list of classes taken.
  • Students attending Saddleback through the Promise program or other immediate alternate plans (gap year, Mormon mission, etc) can still apply. If they are awarded a scholarship, funds will need to be deposited into a 529 plan (either already existing or newly set up).

Men's College Scholarship - Men are choosing paths other than college. To counter this trend, a diverse group of fraternity alumni founded the Men’s College Scholarship which will award $50,000 in scholarships this year to inspire college attendance and academic success by young men. Current or future membership in a fraternity is not required.
Pacific Coast Corvettes (PCC) club scholarship in the amount of $3000 is offered to an eligible candidate who is a graduating senior at Capistrano Valley High School in the Capistrano Unified School District.  Because PCC wishes to encourage automobile enthusiast activities and the continued advanced development of automotive technology, this scholarship is supportive of, but not necessarily limited to, that end. CSEA - The California School Employee Association (CSEA) Scholarship Award Program provides financial assistance to dependent children of CSEA members, helping many continue their education after high school. Any graduating senior with a parent in CSEA Chapter 224 may apply.

Hearthstone Scholarship  Many students struggle to obtain a college degree due to the rising costs of education. To address this need, the Hearthstone Scholarship Fund was established in 2009. Scholarship awards range from $500 to $5,000 and are available to students who reside in a Hearthstone property or in the surrounding community
Orange County Legal Secretaries Association, Inc. Scholarship for high school seniors.  Applicants shall be restricted to seniors who will have successfully completed high school by the end of June and will be enrolled in the fall semester immediately following the school year in a college or business school offering a course of the student in the legal field.  All applicants must be legal residents of the State of California and must be attending school within the State of California during the scholarship year.  
Create a Greeting Card Scholarship - $10,000 scholarship plus win $1,000 for SJHHS! Design a greeting card that will be published by The Gallery Collection.
The Horatio Alger Scholarship for Juniors  The Horatio Alger Association honors the achievements of outstanding individuals in our society who have succeeded in spite of adversity and who are committed to supporting young people in pursuit of increased opportunities through higher education.
Warner Bros. Animation/Hanna-Barbera Honorship - $10,000 scholarship will be awarded each year to a graduating high school student passionate about the entertainment business. You must be enrolling in a college, university, or trade school to study animation. In addition, you will be awarded a paid internship during the summer. You must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. 
The Health Professions Education Foundation is currently offering several scholarship and loan repayment programs. 
PB & J Scholarship Applicants will be evaluated based on their essay and letters of recommendation; there is no GPA requirement. Please note: letters of recommendation must directly reference the student’s challenges. If the applicant does not wish to share their challenges, then the recommendation must reference the student’s personal character.
RSI (Refrigeration School) Scholarships RSI offers various scholarship opportunities. 
PFLAG South Orange County Scholarship Open to students age 17 to 24 who identify as a gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, or straight ally, who will be continuing higher education. 
The Capistrano Unified Management Association (CUMA) is proud to offer up to $750.00 of scholarship money to qualified students at your school. Students must be graduating seniors who are planning on attending college next year.  Information will be emailed to all students via Canvas mail once the application becomes available.
The Rotary Club of Mission Viejo will select a deserving high school senior for the Rotary club’s 2021-2022 High School Scholarship for CVHS in the amount of $1,500
Minimum Requirements: (Applications are due to your Counselor by noon, April 15th 2022)
  • The candidate must have participated in at least one community or school service during which he/she must have completed a minimum of 10 hours of service.
  • The candidate must have an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or above at the beginning of second semester senior year
  • The candidate must be in good standing in the school of attendance
  • The candidate’s school records must demonstrate excellent citizenship
  • The candidate should have plans to attend a program of higher education
  •  Active Participation in a high school Interact Club sponsored by the Rotary Club of Mission Viejo is recommended.

Student View Scholarship Program is a unique opportunity for High School seniors. It is open to all students regardless of academic achievement or financial need.

World Studio Foundation AIGA Scholarship - Allows US College students from minority and economically disadvantaged backgrounds to not only realize their artistic dreams but also give back to their community. 
American Fire Sprinkler Association Scholarship - Ten $2000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors.
Future Scholars Program Each year at California State University Fullerton, up to fifty incoming freshman and first-year transfer students are selected as scholarship recipients and are awarded $1,500.  Applicants must be first-time freshmen or first-year transfer students attending CSUF.  In addition, must have earned a GPA of at least 2.5. OCAPS Scholarship – The Orange Armenian Professional Society is offering scholarships to assist the education needs of Orange County Armenian students who put forth the effort to find success in and out of the classroom.
The "Aspiring Fashion Professional" Scholarship program. Open to high school seniors who intend to pursue a fashion-related field at an accredited post-secondary school or college; have a demonstrable record of academic success; have a passion and drive for a fashion-related career.

Washington Media Scholars Foundation Scholarship - Two scholarships available; Media Scholars Program and Media Plan Case Competition ($10,000) and Media Fellows Program ($25,000).  Application and information can be found at 
The Hamilton Award recognizes high school juniors for their academic, personal, and service achievements. Every year 35 to 40 students nationally are selected to enter their leadership program. Through their Hamilton Leaders Academy, they help their scholars get into college, transition into university life, and then the workforce.
