Graduation Information - Class of 2026
As the school year concludes, CVHS encourages seniors to enjoy their final months responsibly while adhering to all school rules. Seniors are reminded that behavior such as vandalism, truancy (e.g., "senior ditch day"), substance use, or misconduct may lead to loss of senior privileges, including participation in the graduation ceremony.

Location: Dave & Buster’s, Irvine Spectrum
Cost: $40 w/ASB card, $50 without (if not included in senior package)
Deadline: May 27, 2026
Rules: Student ID required; students subject to search; permission slips mandatory
Graduation Day Instructions - Thursday, June 4th
REHEARSAL - Morning of graduation at 9:00AM, check-in at the NEW stadium.
You will choose your seat at this time and fill out your name card.
Practice processional onto the field and how to walk to the stage. This can be done quickly if done correctly.
CEREMONY - Arrive by 2:30 PM to the gym; bring cap, gown, tassel, and any earned medals - do not wear until after check-in.
Wear comfortable shoes (heels prohibited).
Only school-approved cords and stoles may be worn unless culturally appropriate.
Diplomas will be distributed after the ceremony at the announced location.
Picture opportunities will be available in the quad (outside of the M-Building) after the ceremony.

GRADUATION INFORMATION
General Information: Graduation will be held Thursday, June 4th, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. in the NEW Cougar Stadium. For safety and security, stadium gates will remain closed to visitors and will NOT be opened until 2:30 p.m. Please do not arrive before this time. Tickets are required for entry. Each graduate will receive 5 tickets – free of charge. Additional tickets may be purchased at GoFan.co (not com). Seating is first come, first served. Please do not bring umbrellas, coolers, or any other items that may impede the vision of others.
Parking Options: General parking will take place in the upper and lower student lots at the end of Via Escolar. Limited handicapped parking will be available to those who have a valid handicapped placard on a first-come first-serve basis in the staff lot. Uber and Lyft drop-off may take place in the staff lot as well, or other convenient areas.
After the ceremony: No visitors will be allowed on the field. However, immediately following the ceremony, graduates will recess to the quad grass area, in front of the M-Building, where they can then meet their families and pick up their diplomas.
South Coast Photographic: South Coast Photographic will be on the field/stage capturing this special event as the students receive their diplomas. You may view and order prints online at: www.southcoastphotographic.com
GRADUATE INSTRUCTIONS
Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal – Thursday Morning:
Rehearsal begins at 9:00a.m. Thursday morning (Graduation Day, June 4th), with all seniors reporting to the NEW Cougar Stadium for check-in. Seniors will then be given their row assignment along with directions for the processional, seating, and the ceremony. If you do not attend rehearsal you will not participate in the ceremony
Graduation Ceremony – Thursday Afternoon
Plan to get a ride to the school from your parents or other family. You won't want an extra car on campus.
Please arrive to the gyms in appropriate attire NO LATER than 2:30 p.m. You may only bring a wallet and car/house keys if necessary. No extraneous items, headphones, flowers, or leis are permitted - unless culturally appropriate. All such items will be confiscated at check-in, so please do NOT bring them.
All students must bring their Capistrano Valley custom CV cap, gown, tassel, and medal (if awarded) to the practice soccer field. (Do NOT wear your cap and gown to the field prior to check-in; please just carry these items until after you have been checked-in.)
PLEASE wear comfortable shoes! Heels are prohibited on the field. They will damage the turf and will sink into the ground, causing you to trip!
Academic Distinction, ASB, AVID, ATMS, Best Buddies, CSF, CTE, First Generation, IB, ITS, Link Crew, MIP, MUN, NCHS, NHS, Publications, Seal of Biliteracy, TWIS, Valedictorian, and VAPA cords/stoles/medals are school approved. No other group regalia may be worn, unless culturally appropriate.
Diplomas: Please pick up your diploma at the announced location. Thank you
