Register for Health in Summer School or Online (If available)

Consider Marching Band 3081 as a P.E. Class

Strongly encouraged for students who wish to enroll in Wind Ensemble

This will open up an additional period in your curricular school day.

Take 7 classes

Auditions ARE NOT required!

Those who wish to audition for an advanced ensemble may do so. (Auditions 05/23/22)

Audition information below….only if Interested in upper placement

Monday May 23th 4:00-5:30- CVHS Room T-115

Audition Criterion

Students interested in auditioning for placement in the CVHS Wind Ensemble or Advanced/Intermediate Orchestra may audition on or before Monday May 23 from 4:00-5:30 pm. In lieu of in person Auditions CUSD google drive link to an audition video will be accepted. All submissions must be received before Monday May 23 at 4:00 pm.  Audition information is available from your middle school music teachers and online at cvhsmusic.org 

Auditions ARE NOT required to participate in Concert Band or 1st period Orchestra. Contact Mr. Waldukat with questions. akwaldukat@capousd.org

12 Major scales- Circle of 5th Motion (Under 2 Minutes)

(C, G, D, A, E, B , F#, Db, Ab, Eb, Bb, F)

Octave 1

Octave 2

Octave 3- (Students who desire consideration for 5th period must attempt these scales)

(if in person)-Be prepared to sight read music & Rhythm Excerpts (Counting-no clapping)

Band Students

This will be accomplished by:
 
1)       Setting positive examples of leadership and dedication through parental involvement.
 
2)       Creating an environment that nurtures and encourages a student’s individual growth through participation in and appreciation of all forms of music.
 
3)       Providing an educational experience, both musically and socially, where students learn to develop themselves to their fullest potential.
 
4)      Learning how to work together in a team environment with students from other instrument families as well as other Capistrano Valley organizations.
