How to Register | Course List | Summer School at SBCC | Saddleback College Website

How to Register

If you are interested in taking a course at Saddleback College, please follow the steps below.

Important Note: Some colleges and universities may not accept college course work for transfer credit if that course appears on your high school transcript. If you do not need the credits in any way for graduation, it is often best to simply take the class and not list it on the high school transcript. Later, you can list it on your college application and send an official transcript directly from Saddleback College at the appropriate time.

q  Go to www.saddleback.edu

1.      Click Class Schedule

2.      Click appropriate session: Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer. Check first to see if the class you want to take is being offered. Juniors and seniors who take a Saddleback class as their 5th class during the fall or spring semesters, must complete a 5th Class Contract with their Academic Advisor. The class must also be listed on the Concurrent College Studies Course List. The course will appear on the high school transcript. The course grade will count in the GPA and will not be weighted.

3.      Click: Admissions.

4.      Click: Apply for Admission.

5.      Click: Application Manager and complete the registration information first.

6.      Follow the directions to complete the online application.

7.      Print out the confirmation/signature page

8.      Click: Special Admission Request for K-12 students . Be sure to download the High School form.

9.      Complete the form. Student and parent need to sign the form before it is turned into your Academic Advisor or Counselor for approval. The advisor or counselor will forward it to the Assistant Principal, Guidance and Curriculum for approval. The school seal will be affixed and the form will be placed in the student pick up box on the counter in Guidance.

q  Stop by Guidance to pick up an unofficial transcript.

q  The student must take the completed form along with the confirmation page and the unofficial transcript to the admissions office at Saddleback.  Parents are not allowed to register for their child.

q  Saddleback will schedule a time for the students to take both English and math matriculation tests.

q  Saddleback will give the student a permit to register with a date and time to complete online registration for a specific class. Students may only enroll for courses listed on the permit.  | top ▲
