Hey everyone there is a Survivor Club meeting in F6. Was Roark very untrustable or was she trying to be Complex and just trying to make alliances after being the only Healer? Ryan came to the point where he lost the reward challenge for his tribe, and now Ally can't trust him after he back stabbed her.  Make sure to come, so we can talk about those last two episodes of Survivor at club meeting next week.

Hello Cougars,

We are your Athletic Commissioners, Reid Berke and Tyler Sorrel, and your Spirit Commissioner, Jason Shurtz. The spirit at football games has been great, but for the rest of the varsity sports and art performance, we could do a lot better. This year we will have a new program to encourage students to come and support athletes and artists that do not get as much credit for their hard work.

The program is called Five Star Spirit. Every week we will have a Game-of-the-Week for sports that will qualify for points in the program. All performing art events will also be included such as Orchestra, Choir, Band, and Drama. When you attend one of these events, we will have scanners so make sure to bring your school ID's to earn points. We will be sending out a weekly email for what events are happening.

Rewards:

- 5 events - Capo spirit rag

- 8 events - Capo spirit shirt

- 10 events - Qualifying students will be entered to win free Winter Formal Tickets

- Top 2 most spirited students - Get a choice of 2 home basketball game for front-row seats (including an extra for a friend)

The next week events are (September 25th-September 29th):

- Game of the week: Girls Tennis Match - Thursday - Sept 28th @3 PM @ Capo

Hope to see all of you representing the CVHS spirit.

We meet on Thursdays at lunch in Room PE6

In case you are confused about my club's purpose I'll try to reiterate. Society of Free Thought (SOFT) is a weekly club  in which we will express our freedom of speech by discussing, exploring, and analyzing conventional and unconventional ideas the school system may or may not facilitate in a normal classroom environment (and common core has made this much harder to do and has made learning less enjoyable). We will also watch, react, and analyze video clips, movies, and documentaries. The objective here is to get people thinking about stuff that they would not normally be taught by most teachers.

Some students have expressed to me how inconvenient it is to host SOFT on Thursdays and decided not to join because of this. To counteract the issue I have decided to use a group organization app called BAND. BAND is basically like a private Facebook that will be exclusive to SOFT members only. I'll have more information on this later but for now it would be great if you could download the app ahead of time (it's free).

It's my last year in high school and my first year at Capo. I feel like I have held back my feelings about many things over the years too much. It's my last chance to give something back to the student body.

I hope you all stop by on Thursdays and tell your friends about this club so try to get the word out!

Thanks again to everyone! :)

P.S - I also have another club called the Fantasy Club that meets twice a week so if you want more info about it you can email me
