  •          Minimum GPA 3.0
2/28/2018 Junior League of OC
  • Currently a graduating high school senior with GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Citizen or permanent resident of the United States
  • Pending acceptance to a post-secondary institution (required for receipt of scholarship)
  • Agreement to attend the JLOCC June 2018 meeting to accept any award or send an appropriate designee (parent, executive director of the project/program, foster parent, etc.)
  • May not be an immediate relative of a JLOCC member (i.e. sibling, daughter, son)

3/1/2018 CSEA $1,000 Scholarship for dependents of CSEA members. Must be attending a 2 year, 4 year or vocational school next year. Minimum 3.0 GPA required, letter of recommendation and official transcript. Deadline March 1st. Use link to left to complete application and for further details. 
3/1/2018 Change a Life Foundation GPA and SAT/ACT requirements. Must meet low income requirements. See FLYER for details and website link at left to apply online. 
3/1/2018 Sons of Italy

The requirements for applying for a Scholarship or Student Grant with the Order Sons of Italy, Grand Lodge of California is as follows:

  • Applicant MUST BE wholly or partially of Italian decent
  • Applicant MUST BE enrolled in an accredited Trade School, College, University or Community College for the fall of 2018

Scholarship amounts range from $500-$5,000.

3/15/2018 MVAC Scholarship To be qualified high school seniors need to attend a CUSD school and have volunteered at least 150 hours; 25 hours need to be in Mission Viejo. MVAC may award up to 5 $1,000 scholarships.
3/19/2018 CVHS Foundation Scholarships

CVHS Foundation Senior Scholarships

The CVHS Foundation will award 2 senior scholarships of $500 to seniors who have made a positive impact while at CVHS.

Seniors, Tell us how you have made a positive impact on Capistrano Valley High School. Did you undertake a project on campus, start a club, participate in student leadership, contribute to the arts or sports? Click on the link for more details and to submit an online application. Deadline for applications is March 19, 2018. Winners will be selected by a committee of community members.
3/28/2018 Royal Business Bank
  • Plan to attend a U.S. Accredited 4-Year College/University of California/Nevada Community College as a 1st year student in the Fall of 2018 (if selected, must submit college acceptance letter for verification)
  • Have a minimum cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0
  • Have a household income at or below the County Low Income Level (must be able to show 2016 or 2017 tax return should applicant be selected for award)
  • The scholarship is open to ALL MAJORS and there is NO ETHNICITY REQUIREMENT
3/29/2018 CVHS PTSA Must be current member of the CVHS PTSA by March 2nd. Required:
  • Essay or Personal Statement of 250 – 500 words stating your goals and plans for the future.
  • Letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, religious leader or community service sponsor who can attest to your level of commitment.
  • An official CVHS transcript (Mrs. Crowell can attach for you)
  • Awards range from $500 - $1,000 

Due to Mrs. Crowell no later than March 29th.

Winners will be recognized at Senior Awards in May.  

4/22/2018 Student-View Scholarship No minimum GPA , test score or essay required. Complete a 15-20 minute application survey about colleges in your area. Scholarships will be awarded AT RANDOM in May. 1 - $4,000, 2 - $1,000 and 10 - $500 scholarships available. 
5/22/2018 B. Davis Scholarship $1,000 scholarship. Write an essay in less than 1000 words on the following topic: Describe the three characteristics of leadership you value most.  Discuss why you believe that these traits are so important and how you feel that they are developed in an individual. Use link to left for additional information. 
6/14/2018 Abbott & Fenner $1,000 awarded. Must write on following topic: 
Describe your educational career and life goals. Explain your plan for achieving these goals. Include your degree/major, why you selected it, and how this degree/major will help you achieve your goals.
6/19/2018 BigSun Scholarship All student athletes are eligible regardless of the sport they are engaged in. Please send us a short essay (500 - 1,000 words) answering the following questions:
How did your participation in sports during your high school years influence you?
Has your participation influenced your career goals?
Has your participation influenced how you relate to your family?
