For with the upcoming registration for the fall semester of 2015, students in grades 9-11 will be submitting their course requests electronically. Advisement Day will be March 12 and students will be sent home with course offerings. Course requests will be able to be submitted through the Student Portal between March 14 & March 22. It is extremely important that your student creates his/her own Student Portal account immediately and completes this process in a timely fashion. Failure to submit a course request, electronically or in print, may result in your student being placed on a wait list for courses in high demand and/or make it difficult to get their first choice of elective classes. You can log in to the Parent/Student Portal at http://abi.capousd.org. There are also helpful FAQ’s and videos to assist you in creating your account.
If you have any questions regarding creating an account you can receive assistance by emailing email@example.com.

Advisement for Fall 2016 Course Requests
Throughout the week of March 9-13, core subject teachers (English, Math, Science, Social Science, World Languages) have applied CUSD course placement guidelines to place students into appropriate core subject courses for the 2016-17 school year. Teachers also conferred with their students about the course placement if students and/or teachers felt the placement might need additional consideration.
Yesterday, during 2th period tutorial on Tuesday, March 1st, students received a course offering list for the Fall 2016 semester as well as additional considerations for reference when completing course requests in Student Portal (which are listed below). Beginning Tuesday, March 1th students will have access to Student Portal to enter course requests at the following link: Aeries SIS: Portals
Course requests must be completed prior to March 13; at that time, the Student Portal will close and Academic Advisors will begin meeting with English classes for 1:1 student advisement meetings until April 1st. Guidance team members will be available before school, during passing periods, break, at lunch and after school to answer any of your questions. If you have any questions regarding classes, see your Academic Advisor or go to the CVHS webpage: http://www.cvhs.com/advisement We have converted to conducting most functions electronically. You will be requesting your classes online through the STUDENT PORTAL.
