Jim Burns.JPGDid you know that teens who eat dinner regularly with their family during the week get better grades in school, are less involved in drugs and less sexually promiscuous?  Jim Burns, PhD, President of HomeWord, and author of Teenology: The Art of Raising Great Teens, will bring practical tools to help parents navigate the teen years and keep their kids from falling into risky behavior. Jim will help parents be “students of the culture” when it comes to sex, drugs, alcohol, and creating a media safe home. He will give practical ways to enhance your influence and help your teen navigate this unique season of life - and Yours! Jim brings humor and passion together to be one of America's most respected communicators.

Candlelight Vigil.jpg
October's first weekend's tragedy has touched us all at CVHS. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the families and friends affected, and many of you have asked how to help. For those of you who wish to help the Melo and Sotelo families, GoFundMe accounts have been created by the families and the links are listed below. I am grateful for our Capo and greater CUSD community. The outpouring of support and care for our affected families, our students, and our staff makes me proud to be a Capo parent.
