Welcome !
to the Cougars
For Character home page! Feel free to
look around, whether you're a member, parent, teacher, or just browsing. C4C is
a Capistrano Valley High School club that was started about 20 years ago by Mrs.
Laura Little. Today, the club is overseen by Mrs. Christine Garrity and Mrs.
Lynn Sanchez.
Our Mission
To fortify the lives of America's young people with consensus ethical values
called the "Six Pillars of Character." These values, which transcend
divisions of race, creed, politics, gender and wealth, are: trustworthiness,
respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
About C4C
COUGARS FOR CHARACTER is
Capo’s own high school club working to promote good character amongst its fellow students,
mainly through community service. As one of the biggest
clubs on campus, C4C offers its members numerous community service
events, scholarships, and opportunities to demonstrate the Six Pillars of
Character,
trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and
citizenship.
Members act as role models of good character and provide community
service work through the club for the school and community. All
members must attend all meeting, generally on the 2nd Tuesday
of each month. 10 C4C activity hours are required each month to be an
active member of Cougars for Character.
Important!

You
are required to have at least 10 hours of Cougars for Character events per
semester.

Check
your e-mail everyday! It's how we get our information out. We need your
replies if you want to do an event ASAP, so don't forget your e-mail!

At
the general meetings, make sure you get an ASU, fill it out, and turn it in
after the meeting. It's how we take attendance.

General Meetings are mandatory. During
meetings, we discuss the current month's character trait, and the events of
the month. Any other issues are also addressed at the meetings, so please
come! Every second Tuesday of the month, during lunch, in the small gym.

If
you aren't getting any e-mails, e-mail the presidents at cougars4character@yahoo.com
and they'll add you to the list. Also, you might want to check your Junk
E-mail folder, to make sure our e-mails aren't going straight there.

Also,
this year we are requiring you to have an Hours Sheet that you keep with you
throughout the semester. Bring it to all the events, and have the event
signed off by an executive member. This will be the hours sheet that you
turn in at the end of the semester. You can find it under Links.
