The Capistrano
Valley High School Academy of Technology, Math, and Science is a program
designed to enhance educational opportunities for college-bound students
who have demonstrated exceptional ability and interest in the areas of
mathematics, science, and/or technology.
Academy graduates now attend Cal Tech,
MIT, Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, the University of Pennsylvania,
Rice, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCI, and many other fine colleges throughout

Within the Academy, two levels of
achievement are possible - ATMS GOLD and ATMS SILVER - for which
students will receive letters of certification upon graduation.
ATMS GOLD
requires that the student earn a grade
of C or better in:

6 ATMS courses *

10 Advanced Placement courses
including: **

AP Calculus (BC)

AP Statistics
-
AP Computer Science or a course
approved by the Board of Directors
(e. g.), ROP Computer Animation)

2 AP science courses from the list
of Biology, Chemistry, Physics C or Environmental Science
ATMS
SILVER requires that the
student earn a grade of C or better in:

6 ATMS courses *

7 Advanced Placement courses

AP Calculus (AB or BC)

AP Computer Science or a course
approved by the Board of Directors (e. g., ROP Computer Animation)

with irreconcilable scheduling conflicts, students
transferring from other districts, etc., may be made with
approval by the ATMS Board of Directors. |
